# S1 - Great Degen Race

**IMPORTANT NOTE: Changes to circulating supply of the SEXY utility token were carefully designed to be gradual, thereby avoiding supply shocks.**

## Introduction

Season 1 kicked off on November 13, 2023.  The [Great Degen Race](https://x.ethxy.com) (GDR) is accessible at <https://x.ethxy.com>.  Players are encouraged to connect their X (Twitter) profile, follow @ethxy and @j\_eth\_id, share their Great Degen Race profile, create a character, play EthXY games and hold a balance of SEXY.

## Registering

Scroll to the bottom where it says "Claim my EthXY Link".  Clicking on it will open a Twitter connect panel.

The Twitter connect panel will list the set of permissions that EthXY is requesting.  Please note that EthXY **does not perform any action without your explicit decision.**  Authorizing the app has no immediate effect.

After you have authorized, you are taken to your Great Degen Race profile.

## Profile card

Your profile card shows:

* How many views of your page you've received
* How many referrals you had sign up through your Great Degen Race profile
* How many EthXY games you have played
* Your aggregated score for Season 1
* Your share URL for your Great Degen Race profile

## Randomize Great Degens

Here is an option where you can randomize the two background Great Degens of your profile.  Feel free to customize your profile until you have two Great Degens you admire.

## Social Tasks

You will see a listing of tasks that can be accomplished.  A [✅](https://emojipedia.org/check-mark-button) means that the task has been accomplished for the moment.  A [❌](https://emojipedia.org/cross-mark) means that the task is available to accomplish to earn score.

## Wallet Tasks

Holding 1000 SEXY and 10,000 SEXY will provide +100 and +1000 in score daily.  Click on "Verify wallet" to connect your wallet.

You will see an option to connect with a variety of wallets.  Pick your wallet of choice.

You will be asked to sign a Sign In with Ethereum (SIWE) signature.  This process costs zero gas, is used to validate that you own the stated wallet address.  After authentication, you will see your balance update.  You may need to manually switch to mainnet to ensure your SEXY balance is visible.

After your balance loads, you'll be able to click on "Claim score".

## Create character

You'll have noticed the largest score boost is reserved for creating an EthXY character.

Clicking on the button will connect you to the @ethxy Telegram bot with a secret authentication code.  Make sure to hit "Start".  This will link your Telegram EthXY user with your Great Degen Race profile.

## Playing EthXY games

One of the most effective repeatable ways to earn score is by playing EthXY games.

Once you have connected your Telegram EthXY user with your Great Degen Race profile, any game you play through EthXY will dynamically update your score.

## Conclusion

The end of Season 1 will be announced in advance.  Players will receive a portion of the Season 1 reward pool based on their score.   We reserve the right to make ineligible any player we suspect has tried to cheat the scoring mechanism.
